more full-time equivalent (FTE)employees that do not offer 
health coverage, or that offer health coverage that does not 
meet certain minimum standards, may be subject to a 
financial penalty, referred to as the EmployerShared 
Responsibility payment.

Group health insurance is guaranteed issue regardless of 
health conditions and the carriers can not increase premium
based on health conditions or the size of the group.
To qualify, groups need to enroll 75% of eligible people, pay 
50% of employee premium, and have at least 1 person 
(not owner or spouse) on payroll for 1/2 of prior calendar 
quarter.A group health plan is an employee welfare benefit 
plan established or maintained by an employer that provides 
medical care for participants or their dependents directly or 
through insurance, reimbursement, or otherwise.
